The ATP Asian swing has ended tremendously with one of the ATP Masters 1000 held at Shanghai. Chinese fans have been treated by high quality tennis and exciting matches. Who could forget the between-the-legs shot done by Roger Federer against John Isner that brought Chinese fans up to their seats?

Of course, after a week of trimming down the draw, which also includes some remarkable upsets, a new champion has been crowned. Did I predicted it right? My pick for 2010 Shanghai Rolex Masters Champion.

The new champion is none other than world No.4 Andy Murray, who performs a superb display of tennis to overcome his opponent in the final, Federer. With his win in Shanghai, he clinched his sixth ATP Masters 1000 title alongside with ATP Masters 1000 Toronto. Both ATP Masters 1000 is against Federer, which denies the Swiss for claiming his 18th ATP Masters 1000 equalling world No.1 Rafael Nadal. The battle will surely heats up in ATP Masters 1000 Paris.

2010 Shanghai Rolex Masters Champion

With Murray's win over Federer, he improved his lead against Federer in their head-to-head career meetings to 8-5. Murray's record against Federer in ATP Masters 1000 has been extended to 6-1. But still he is trailing Federer in ATP Tour Finals with 3-2, two of them were Grand Slam events.

In the past 12 meetings, this will the most lopsided loss of Federer to Murray. How this will translate in the upcoming ATP Masters 1000 Paris, as well as in ATP World Tour Finals in London? Will Murray continue to dominate Federer?

Federer have displayed an outstanding game after his loss to Novak Djokovic at this year's US Open. Federer eventually gets revenge of that loss to reach the final, including Robin Soderling en route. Despite his loss, he will move back to No.2 in ATP rankings come Monday, overtaking Djokovic down to No.3.

However, Murray has been saving the best for last. Will he be able to capitalize this win at the remaining major events before the season ends? Sure he can.

Congratulations Andy Murray!
