Just got home! After long hours of work having a very busy schedule, it's nice to have a very good rest, right? It's a blessing that our office is walking distance from home. 25 minutes of walk going home is some sort of a relaxation as you can exercise, breathe some fresh air, and see different views.
Since nobody is at home yet, I need to cook our dinner.
Oh, my sister is already here! She's done cooking the rice and about to cook our entree this evening. But she was requested me to do so. After a minute of rest, I change my clothes off and went to the kitchen. Here's what I prepared, hope you like it.
SAUTEED SQUID IN TOMATOES
Ingredients:
1 kilo squid
1 pc medium-sized chayote, stripped
3 pcs tomatoes, cut
1 clove onion
3 pcs finger chilies
vegetable oil
black pepper
salt to taste

Preparation:
*A bundle of Chinese cabbage can be an alternative to chayote. Great to have veggies in this dish.

Heat the pan with vegetable oil. Saute the onion as well as the tomatoes until it extract enough sauce. Saute the squid in the mixture of onion and tomatoes. Add the black pepper. The squid will produce enough amount of broth, let it boil. Add the finger chillies. Wait for a couple of minutes then add the chayote. When the squid and chayote is tender enough, add salt. Let it boil again for a minute until a little amount of squid broth is left.
Enjoy the taste of the spice of the finger chillies and the bitter sweet of tomatoes in the squid broth. Wow! With this mouth-watering food, I will have another great reason to start another great evening...
